• Old Tom Morris: Called to Royal Dornoch in 1886, Old Tom worked with local hero John Sutherland to extend the course to 18 holes, carving out the famous raised greens that define Dornoch today.
• James Braid: The grandfather of Brora's layout. In 1924, Braid redesigned the 18-hole links at [[page-3192574|Brora Golf Club]] for a modest £25 fee. His masterful routing follows the natural contours of the land, protected today by our signature electric fences to keep grazing sheep and cattle off the greens.
• The 1906 Exhibition: Braid and Harry Vardon traveled north to play a historic challenge match at Dornoch, drawing national eyes to the quality of Highland links.
• Modern Champions: The natural brilliance of these courses has drawn greats like Peter Thomson, who declared Brora the 'most natural links in the world,' and Tom Watson, an honorary member.
